SPIRIT OF THE POSE

This video is about Karl Intro

Karl Gnass is a master draftsman and has lectured and exhibited his work internationally in Florence, Dublin, Copenhagen, and Los Angeles. He also teaches at Disney Feature Animation, among others.

“The drawing process, for me, is essentially an adventure and an exploration through line, rhythm, tone, shape, dimension and especially composition – making sure all the parts are singing the same song. I respond as much to what I feel as to what I see. As much to the mystery of the drawing journey itself as to the logic of how and where it leads.” - Karl Gnass

Morning on Safari

A taste of morning at camp in the bush in Northern Kenya.  Filmed for The Watering Hole Foundation, 2016.

IN SEARCH OF ELEPHANTS

Walking through the bush looking for elephants is exhilirating and dreamlike and I wanted to try and capture what that feels like. Elephants are so silent most of the time, that they can be right around a bush or a tree and you wouldn't even know it. Every sense is firing and you feel alive in a way where you are connected to everything around you.
